Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 24/09/2026

Last updated: 24/09/2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of https://meeknesscs.com and your purchase of catering services, Shito, hot sauces, spices and other products from Meekness Catering Services (“Meekness,” “we,” “our” or “us”).

By using our website, submitting a booking request or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Our Services

Meekness provides catering for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, meetings, corporate events and other celebrations. We also manufacture and sell Shito, hot pepper sauces, spices and related food products.

Submitting an enquiry or quotation request does not create a confirmed booking. A booking becomes confirmed only after we accept it and receive any required deposit.

2. Quotations

Quotations are based on the information supplied by the customer, including the event date, location, menu, service requirements and estimated number of guests.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid for [number] days. Prices may change if the customer changes the guest count, menu, venue, event time, service requirements or other booking details.

Additional costs may apply for transport, equipment rental, waiting time, overtime, venue access difficulties or services not included in the original quotation.

3. Deposits and Payments

A deposit of [percentage]% is required to confirm a catering booking unless we agree otherwise in writing.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than [number] days before the event. Meekness may suspend preparation or cancel an unconfirmed booking if payment is not received by the stated deadline.

Product orders must be paid in full before dispatch or collection unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing.

Payments must be made through an approved payment method displayed on the website, quotation or invoice.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for providing:

  • Accurate contact, delivery and event information.
  • A correct guest count by the agreed deadline.
  • Safe and reasonable access to the venue.
  • Appropriate information about venue restrictions.
  • Details of known dietary requirements and food allergies.
  • Any permits or venue approvals that are the customer’s responsibility.
  • A safe environment for our staff, equipment and service providers.

Changes must be communicated as early as possible and may affect pricing or availability.

5. Menu and Product Availability

We make reasonable efforts to provide the selected menu and products. Ingredients, packaging or individual menu items may occasionally become unavailable because of seasonal supply, market conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where necessary, we may propose a suitable alternative of comparable quality and value. Material changes will be communicated to the customer where reasonably possible.

Product images are provided for general presentation. Natural ingredients, preparation methods, packaging updates and screen settings may cause minor differences in colour or appearance.

6. Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements

Some of our food and products may contain or come into contact with fish, shellfish, meat, nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy or other allergens.

Customers must inform us of allergies or dietary requirements before confirming an order or booking. Although we take reasonable care, food may be prepared in environments where multiple ingredients and allergens are handled. We cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from traces of a particular allergen.

Customers are responsible for communicating relevant allergy information to their guests.

7. Shito and Food Products

Our Shito and other food products must be stored, handled and consumed according to the instructions provided on the packaging.

Do not consume a product if:

  • The safety seal is broken before opening.
  • The container is damaged, leaking or unusually swollen.
  • The product appears spoiled or has been stored incorrectly.
  • It has passed the stated expiry or best-before date.

After opening, follow the refrigeration and consumption instructions shown on the label.

8. Delivery and Collection

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, incomplete directions, venue access or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Customers must provide accurate delivery details and ensure that someone is available to receive the order. Additional charges may apply if delivery must be attempted again because nobody was available or the supplied information was incorrect.

Responsibility for an order passes to the customer when it is delivered to the provided address or collected from the agreed location.

9. Cancellations and Changes

Catering cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise:

  • Cancellations made more than [number] days before the event may qualify for a partial refund after deducting non-recoverable expenses.
  • Cancellations made within [number] days of the event may result in the deposit being non-refundable.
  • Amounts already spent on ingredients, staff, rentals, transport or customised items may be deducted from any refund.
  • Date changes are subject to availability and may require a revised quotation.

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

10. Returns and Product Complaints

Because food products are perishable, we cannot accept returns merely because a customer changes their mind after delivery or collection.

If you receive an incorrect, damaged or potentially unsafe product, contact us within [24/48] hours and provide your order details, photographs and a description of the issue.

Where the complaint is verified, we may offer an appropriate replacement, store credit or refund. This does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Event Delays and Leftover Food

The customer must inform us promptly if an event schedule changes. Additional staffing, waiting or service charges may apply where delays extend beyond the agreed service period.

Once leftover food has been handed to the customer or removed from our controlled service area, the customer assumes responsibility for its storage, handling and consumption.

12. Website Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

You must provide accurate information and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend accounts used fraudulently, unlawfully or in violation of these Terms.

13. Acceptable Website Use

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent activity.
  • Attempt to interfere with its security or operation.
  • Upload malicious software or harmful content.
  • Copy, scrape or reproduce website content without permission.
  • Misrepresent your identity or payment authority.

14. Intellectual Property

The website’s design, written content, photographs, product presentation, graphics and branding belong to Meekness or their respective licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view the website and print information for personal use. You may not commercially reproduce, modify, distribute or exploit its content without prior written permission.

15. Reviews and Customer Content

If you submit a review, photograph or testimonial, you confirm that it is truthful, lawful and does not violate another person’s rights.

We may display submitted content for business and promotional purposes only where we have the necessary permission. We may remove content that is abusive, misleading, unlawful or unrelated to our services.

16. Events Beyond Our Control

Meekness will not be responsible for a failure or delay caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, fire, flooding, road closures, government restrictions, power failures, major supply interruptions, civil disturbance or venue closure.

If such an event occurs, we will communicate with the customer and make reasonable efforts to reschedule, provide an alternative or agree on another fair solution.

17. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, Meekness will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the order or booking was confirmed.

Any remedy will take into account the nature of the issue, the affected product or service and the amount paid. Customers remain responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information, unsafe venue conditions, improper storage or failure to follow supplied instructions.

18. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

If a dispute arises, the parties should first attempt to resolve it through good-faith discussion. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may pursue the remedies available under Ghanaian law.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, website or legal obligations change. The version in effect when an order or booking is confirmed will generally apply to that transaction unless a change is required by law.
